Endanger vs. in danger

FOUND ONLINE: Tannehill has struggled early this season, there is no debating tthat, and not admitting he will start appeared to be confirmation that Tannehill was endanger of losing his job.

Instead of endanger, I think the writer meant in dangerAlso, tthat should be that. I might even take out "there is no debating that." It's unnecessary.

Tannehill has struggled early this season, and not admitting he will start appeared to be confirmation that Tannehill was in danger of losing his job.

Smile to her face

Found in a novel: ... she added, "I AM polite," bringing a smile to Darragh's face.

Where else would a smile be? It HAS to be on her face.

... she added, "I AM polite," making Darragh smile.

I'm not complaining about the writing here; I'm just making a point. There's usually a shorter and easier way to say something, if you look for it.
