I just saw the online cover of a Fantastic Four comic, and it said FABULOUS FANTASTIC FOUR.
My thought was: Aren't fabulous and fantastic sort of the same thing? So I looked them up.
Fantastic: extraordinarily good or attractive; of an extraordinary size or degree; imaginative or fanciful; remote from reality; (of an object) seeming more appropriate to the imagination than to reality; strange or exotic.
Fabulous: extraordinary, especially extraordinarily large; very good; wonderful; having no basis in reality; mythical.
I see differences and parallels. But extraordinarily good and very good are the same; so are remote from reality and having no basis in reality. And strange or exotic and mythical seem similar.
Can you say redundant, kiddies?
