FOUND ONLINE: After all, it’s not like a ton of NFL players have the same name as a former United States President. 

This story is about a guy named Gerald Ford. If you were talking to President Gerald Ford, you'd say Mr. President (you can't now; he's dead). But there's no reason to uppercase "former United States president."
