FOUND ONLINE: A Electronic Book or E Book as they are universally known, is a text based publication in digital form.

As you know, An Electronic Book would be correct.

FROM THE SAME ARTICLE: In Angela’s first design, smaller amount of text where printed onto spools and were operated by compressed air.

I suspect the writer meant were, not where. It would just be a typo. Also, I'm not sure the writer needs the were later in the sentence.
