MARSHALL LAW

I just noticed that Marshall law is trending on Twitter. Unless Mr. Law's first name is Marshall, they meant martial law.

The same legislator earlier talked about the Gazpacho police; I assume she meant Gestapo.

FOUND ONLINE: We need more people like Jamie Raskin and less people like Marjorie Taylor Greene.

It would be FEWER people.

FOUND ONLINE: The next season, he set a new modern era single-season mark with 383 strikeouts while tossing the first two no-hitters of his career.

You don't need to say that Nolan Ryan set a NEW modern era single-season mark. He couldn't set an OLD record, so a modern mark is fine.

Actually, I wonder if you need to say a modern era single-season mark. I can't imagine any of the old-timers striking out 383 batters. (The old record was 382 by Sandy Koufax.)
