MEANING: INDEMNIFY

I just heard Donald Trump use the word indemnify online, so I looked it up.

Meaning of indemnify: 1. compensate (someone) for harm or loss. 2. secure (someone) against legal liability for their actions.

He was using meaning No. 2.
