Blogs to watch

Getting in the way: Here's a blog about NY Times reporters and columnists becoming part of the news they're covering.

Blog to watch: I've added Women's Memoirs to my lists of blogs to watch. I've been corresponding with writer Kendra Bonnett on LinkedIn, and she was talking about whether blogs were dead. Turns out there's a blog on Women's Memoirs about Is Blogging Dead...and... Should I Care? Check it out.

More later.

A blog to check out

I haven't put his blog link on this blog yet, but you might check out John McIntyre. The former Baltimore Sun copy-desk chief has already built a strong following by being fairly outspoken.

For instance, he takes apart a newspaper headline in a blog found at http://johnemcintyre.blogspot.com/2009/05/whos-your-daddy.html. He also offers sage advice in a blog entitled Sons, take heed.

McIntyre has served two terms as the president of the American Copy Editors Society. I'm a member of ACES, too.
