They peeked my interest

I WAS READING ALONG — I'm a Dolphins fan — and I almost missed this.

And I'll admit - Thigpen has peeked my interest.

 That should be piqued.

THIS IS FROM another story on the Dolphins.

These are just examples of whom I felt were surprises...

 I'd go with who.

YOU CAN'T FIX this, since it's a direct quote. Still, I can make a point.
