Busted headline: Someone was telling my freelance network yesterday about a funny headline.

Vt. college falls 40 feet from bridge

That would be quite a fall for a college; No, don't do it! We can talk it over! The college has so much to give!

Actually, it was a college student. The freelancer cited a specific newspaper, but I also found it online here. And I found another one here.

I found the story on several other sites, and most or all of them amended the headline to Vt. college student falls from bridge.

I wonder why those web sites didn't fix the headline. Maybe they didn't notice the word student missing.
