Travel the world in

Found online: Meet John. He’s a 75-year-old man who built this awesome tiny house truck for he and his wife to travel the world in.
I don't like the use of he and his wife in this instance, and I don't like ending the sentence with in. So I'd change the last part of the sentence to "so he and his wife can travel the world."
It's not as awkward.
