Caught in a straightjacket

I was just watching an NCIS episode on Netflix, and the agents were talking about putting someone in a straitjacket.

The subtitles, however, spelled it straightjacket (it should have been straitjacket). Which either means a faulty computer program did the subtitles, or a faulty person (couldn't spell) did them.
