Repeating words

I hate repeating words. Take Sahara Desert or the Los Angeles Angels.

The word Sahara means desert in Arabic, so Sahara Desert means desert desert.

Los means the in Spanish, and Angeles means angels. So the phrase the Los Angeles Angels means the the angels angels.

Ugh.

You can't do much about Los Angeles Angels unless you go back to California Angels. On the other hand, you can just mention the Sahara; you don't need desert.

Are there any other repeating words?
