HEADLINE FOUND ONLINE: Tornado with 105 mph winds hit Salisbury Monday, meteorologists confirm

I realize the headline writer saw winds and hit together, but he should have stripped out some words and realized that the story is Tornado HITS Salisbury... Why? Newspapers write in present tense.

I'd also hyphenate 105-mph.

It's obvious that Mississippi is misspelled, so the literacy program is still in question, at least in newspapers.

It would be easy enough to spell Mississippi correctly and fit the column width.
