LET'S LOOK at a new word, disputatious.

A disputatious person often disagrees and argues with others; he/she DISPUTES lots (or most) things.

No, I'd never heard of disputatious, but it makes sense.

GASLIGHTING IS THE WORD

I was just looking at CNN's 5 Things newsletter and came across Merriam-Webster's word of the year for 2022. It's the word people spent a lot of time searching for this year.

It was gaslighting, which the online dictionary defines it as "the act or practice of grossly misleading someone especially for one’s own advantage."

You hear gaslighting a lot in the political arena. And spellcheck seems to hate it.
