WORD: SEGWAY

FOUND ON YOUTUBE: There was a transition in a Dan Blocker video that said Segway into Acting.

Generally, it's spelled segue.

According to the internet, segway is "a motorized personal vehicle consisting of two wheels mounted side by side beneath a platform that the rider stands on while holding on to handlebars, controlled by the way the rider distributes their weight."

A segue is "a transition from one role, state, or condition to another." I think that's the meaning the YouTube video meant.

SHIFTING GEARS

I am watching a YouTube video on electric bikes, and the narrator was about to segue from one topic to another. He said, "Let's shift gears."

That's perfect, since they do shift gears on e-bikes and similar devices.

I didn't use the word segue as an allusion to the Segway scooter, but it works.
