Farther from the truth

Found in a newspaper: That couldn't be farther from the truth.

Farther is for distance, so, in this case, the truth must be a few miles from here. The only way farther would work here is if The Truth is a place in Texas and you're going from Iowa to Maine. Then you WOULD be farther from The Truth (I'm being facetious).

This sentence should use further, not farther.

That couldn't be further from the truth.

The only limit to your impact

Quotation found online: "The only limit to your impact is your imagination and commitment." — Tony Robbins

Since Robbins says "imagination and commitment," he should have used limits, not limit.

I realize that some folks will say I'm being too critical. I don't know, but here's my edit.

"The only limits to your impact are your imagination and commitment."
