It's my preference

I'd edit it: I just found a quote that said this: "Matt (Borland, crew chief) and the guys are assessing the situation."

I'd change it to this: "(Crew chief) Matt (Borland) and the guys are assessing the situation."

It's not a huge change, but I think it's easier to read.
