Lively hood

FOUND ONLINE: Secondly, if you play football, or any sport for that matter, that could be your lively hood for the foreseeable future you should be banned from hunting or touching a gun (or fireworks).

I believe the writer meant livelihood, not lively hood. It's interesting, though.

Tripped up

HEADLINE FOUND ONLINE: Krzyzewski tripped up by Duke star's antics

This is a sports story about a Duke University player tripping opponents during games and coach Mike Krzyzewski having to deal with it (he suspended the player, something he didn't want to do). I usually write about things I DON'T like, but I like the use of tripped here.


ALSO FOUND ONLINE: Going with the best player available (sans quarterback and running back) will be the mindset of whomever is running the Rams come draft day.


In this case, whoever is correct.
