CUT or WAIVED

HEADLINE FOUND ONLINE: Miami Dolphins cut 5th round pick Curtis Weaver in a surprise move

No, the Phins did not cut Weaver; they waived him. He's injured; when he gets through waivers (and he should), they'll put him on the injured reserve list (and he'll still be with the team). 

(Sadly, Weaver didn't clear waivers; the Browns claimed him. But he wasn't cut.)
