MEANING: POROSITY

I was just listening to a video about OceanGate's Titan sub disaster, and the word porosity came up. So I checked it out.

Meaning of porosity: the quality or degree of having minute spaces or holes through which liquid or air may pass.

Obviously, you don't want minute spaces or holes in the hull of a submersible.
