A fare headline

THE NEW YORK POST had a boring headline on a story about N.Y. cabbies ripping off their clients -- Sneaky cabbies' $8M meter rip-off went on for years -- but I loved the headline that was embedded in the web address:
Local fare was foul in cabbies' con
I might have changed it to "Local fares were foul...," but otherwise I really liked it.

Off the mark

The N.Y. Post is famous for cute headlines or ledes. Today, I found two immediately. The first refers to the U.S. losing to Canada in women's hockey.
No Can-do: U.S. women settle for hockey silver
Obviously, Can-do refers back to Canada. It misses the mark.
Houston: McGrady kneeds time to adjust
I assume this refers to Tracy McGrady's knee problems, but this headline needs work.
