FIRE WAS SHOT

FOUND ON TWITTER: Video of a man setting plants on fire was shot by a firefighter using controlled burn techniques to slow wildfire spread, Reuters and the AP say

Shot bothered me when I read this, and this sentence is too long. I'd do an edit.

Edit: A man was videotaped setting plants on fire by a firefighter working to slow wildfire spread, Reuters and the AP say

It's not perfect, but you can get more information in the next sentence.

When all is said and done

FOUND ONLINE: Remember that when all is said and done, your cover letter should only be one page long.

I got a post in my email this morning, and I quickly noticed that this sentence can be shorter. When all is said and done is the written (or spoken) way of being verbose.

Remember that your cover letter should only be one page long.

FOUND ON TWITTER: Whoops! You already tweeted that…

If you send the same tweet twice in a row on Twitter, that pops up. The problem is that Whoops is not correct. It's Oops.
