Gorgonzola: an Italian blue cheese made from unskimmed cow's milk, believed to have been created in the 9th century.

Hectograph: an apparatus for copying documents by the use of a gelatin plate that receives an impression of the master copy.

Painter's colic: severe abdominal pain and constipation caused by lead poisoning. It is also known as lead colic, Devonshire colic, Poitou colic, or saturnine colic.

Pantechnicon: (British) a large van for transporting furniture.

Petechiae: pinpoint, round spots that form on the skin. They are caused by bleeding, which makes the spots look red, brown or purple. 

Philatelist: one who collects or studies stamps.

Scoliosis: a medical condition in which the spine has an irregular curve in the coronal plane, associated with a rotational component.
