IS THIS RIGHT?

Why should you read “Dune” by Frank Herbert? - Dan Kwartler

I'm re-reading the novel Dune, and a sentence gave me pause.

The sound of her voice had contained a difference then from any other voice in his experience.

I wonder if then ought to be than. Than sounds right.

It's small, but it seemed odd to me.
