FOUND ONLINE: When backup quarterback Matt Moore stepped in, there was questions as to whether Moore could produce and lead Miami to the playoffs.

When backup quarterback Matt Moore stepped in, there were questions as to whether Moore could produce and lead Miami to the playoffs.

ALSO FOUND ONLINE: The Chargers wanted running back Ryan Matthews and was willing to give up a second round pick to move up 16 spots to get him.

I see two problems here. First, it's Ryan Mathews, with one "t". And, again, it's were, not was. If you cut out the Matthews stuff, the sentence could be "The Chargers was willing..." And that sounds wrong.

The Chargers wanted running back Ryan Mathews and were willing to give up a second-round pick to move up 16 spots to get him.
