Why change his name?

PROMO FOUND ONLINE: John Hancock name change?

I found this promo headline on a Chicago Tribune newsletter, and
it caught my attention. Why would they change John Hancock's name?

Then I clicked on the link and found this headline: John Hancock Center
could change owners — and names.

Now, THAT makes sense.
