A 30-9 lost

FOUND ONLINE: The Minnesota Vikings wrapped up their preseason schedule last night with a 30-9 lost to the Miami Dolphins. It was a disappointing loss for the Vikings. The lost put the Vikings at 2-2 for the preseason.

Normally, I wouldn't mention this, but the writer twice used lost when he meant loss. He did get loss right in the second sentence. Also, you don't need all of these losses.

The Minnesota Vikings finished their preseason schedule 2-2 with last night's disappointing 30-9 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

FROM A NEWS STORY: He’s faces a September 5 deadline from Republican state lawmakers trying to force his hand.

I'd change He's to He and turn September 5 to Sept. 5.
