A 30-9 lost

FOUND ONLINE: The Minnesota Vikings wrapped up their preseason schedule last night with a 30-9 lost to the Miami Dolphins. It was a disappointing loss for the Vikings. The lost put the Vikings at 2-2 for the preseason.

Normally, I wouldn't mention this, but the writer twice used lost when he meant loss. He did get loss right in the second sentence.

FROM A NEWS STORY: He’s faces a September 5 deadline from Republican state lawmakers trying to force his hand.

I'd change He's to He and turn September 5 to Sept. 5.
