That's a long piece of copy, but it's necessary. There are two sentences that need fixing.
They have 1942 and who married together, and that's obviously wrong. We need to move the date. In the second sentence, they have a semicolon when a comma would work. Finally, I wouldn't uppercase platinum.
On March 29, 1942, Reese was married to Dorothy "Dottie" Walton, who outlived him by nearly thirteen years. They had two children, and Dottie died on March 7, 2012, just 22 days away from what would have been the couple's platinum wedding anniversary.
Those are two simple fixes for this bio of baseball hall-of-famer Pee Wee Reese.
