Who postponed it?

Promoters of sporting events often send press releases saying that "Weather postpones 200-lap race."

The weather didn't postpone the race and never will. The weather forced the postponement of the race, and the promoter himself postponed the race.

I know, I know ... I'm being literal again, but it's usually the way to go.
