Their head and face

Found online: Their head and face are wrinkled with whiskers on the snout.

I'd change this sentence this way:

Their heads and faces are wrinkled, with whiskers on the snout.

I believe this is a description of the manatee, but it sounds like me. I have wrinkles and whiskers, too.
