FOUND ONLINE: The Winston Wildcats is an expansion franchise in the 23-team American Indoor Football League. Games will be played on a 50-yard field at the Winston-Salem Fairground Annex.
Maybe it's just me, but I'd say that the Winston Wildcats ARE an expansion franchise.
ALSO FOUND ONLINE: According to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle the Miami Dolphins has signed former Jacksonville Jaguars offensive tackle Sam Young.
To my ear, it's "the Miami Dolphins HAVE signed..." And you need a comma after Chronicle.
FROM THE SAME ARTICLE: In his time with the Jag's he played in 20 games, mostly contributing on special teams with 6 starts at right tackle.
Jags isn't possessive, so you don't need an apostrophe. And according to Associated Press style, it would be six starts at right tackle.
He played 20 games with the Jags, helping on special teams, with six starts at right tackle.
