Percents

THERE'S A NICE BLOG entry here about the difference between percents and percentage points, and I like the use of Roscoe P. Coltrane and Daisy Duke in the explanation. I could almost hear the late Waylon Jennings singing (just a good ol' boy) in the background.

By the way, I often see novelists, non-fiction writers and journalists use a percentage symbol (%) instead of the word percent in copy. No.
