This story is about basketball star Stephen Curry, and this sentence has two small problems.
First, you wouldn't say that he led his team to "their" first championship. You'd lead the team to "its" first championship, or you'd lead the Warriors to "their" first championship.
Secondly, there's no reason to uppercase "championship."
He won the 2014-15 season MVP award, and then went on to lead his team to its first NBA championship since 1975.
