Non-human primate handler?

I JUST FOUND on LinkedIn that someone was a "Non-human primate handler." I assume that this means the person took care of dogs, but it sounds like this is a non-human who handles primates.

Maybe "Animal handler" might be more appropriate and instructive.

What do you think?
