Word play

WHITEOUT: Usually, the NY Post misses with its plays on words. I think it may have hit with the lede on its recent snow story. The lede: "It's the white-mare before Christmas."

Some people would call the recent weather in the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions a nightmare. I don't know that I'd hyphenate whitemare, though.
