I'm wondering about this headline

I JUST FOUND A HEADLINE THAT makes me wonder. It's How Social Media Is Muddying the Waters for Jobseekers.

Since "media" is plural, should you use "Is" or "Are"? I'm leaning toward "Are." And wouldn't it be Job Seekers?
