My way

A LOT OF NEWSPAPERS are no longer using "on" before dates. Here's an example:

Hayes and his staff are putting together a bid to submit to the NCAA for a home playoff game Nov. 20.

Personally, I think that "on Nov. 20" sounds better. Just personal preference.
