What about that 82-24 victory?

I hate it when a wire story says that the 500 yards rushing in a game were the second most by a college football team but doesn't say who was No. 1.

The Associated Press did that today when it said that Wake Forest's 54-48 win over Duke produced the second most points in an Atlantic Coast Conference game. Then it left the gaping void.

I remembered Clemson's 82-24 rout of Wake Forest in 1981 — the Tigers' cheerleaders did a ton of pushups after each touchdown in that game -- but the story should have added that fact.
