Where scratching their head

FOUND ONLINE: Some lawmakers where left scratching their head after Trump’s speech in Cincinnati on Wednesday night that veered all over the map.

Some lawmakers were left scratching their heads.

ALSO FOUND ONLINE: National media has descended on Dallas to cover the story.

The word media is plural, so national media have would be correct.

FOUND IN A SCIENCE STORY: Saturn, even without it’s ring system, is much larger than Mars, but it’s dimmer because it’s 856 million miles from Earth. 

The word it's is in here three times. The first one should be its, but the other two are used correctly.

I wonder if spellcheck "helped" them misspell its.
